Daní Michele Montgomery brings her 25 years of styling expertise to Wilbraham, Mass. As early as she can remember, Daní knew she wanted to be a hairstylist! She has been inspired by others throughout her life that got to show up every day to make people feel great about themselves. The best part was getting to see how much fun those stylists had while they were working with their clients and engaging in conversations with so many different people. Seeing how much of a positive impact the hairstylists had on the lives of their clients motivated her to become the stylist she is today. 

Today, Salon J represents the essence of what’s important to Daní as a salon owner and stylist. We offer a warm, inviting and comfortable environment with a relaxed vibe. Our stylists, myself included, understand that the relationships we build with our clients is truly one of the most important parts of the work we do. 

At Salon J we believe that healthy hair, great style, and feeling amazing should coexist. The work we do is more than just applying products and cutting hair. Our goal is to help you match how you feel on the inside with how you look on the outside when you leave. 

Getting a little more personal...

Why call the salon "Salon J"? I get this question a lot! When I had the opportunity to create my own space (literally, ask me about it) I wanted to name the salon after my daughter, Jayce. I wanted to honor the passion that it takes to build a career over two-decades and the love of one of the most important people in my life. 

Have you really wanted to do this since you were a child? Yes! I feel as though I am truly fortunate getting to build meaningful relationships with my clients, stylists and community. This profession is very personal for me. I cherish the conversations I have with my clients. I look forward to getting a hug and catching up with people that I haven't seen in the salon in awhile. Every day I am inspired as I get to share in the laughs, tears, and family photos as we talk hair in my chair. I'm proud to say that I even have clients of Salon J that were with me when I started working as salon assistant in 1997 - and I can't wait to see where their stories go next.
